Description

The project is located in the north-western area of Saudi Arabia. It belongs to a Saudi prince and the purpose is to create an Oasis in the desert. The project is designed on one and only floor; all functions are oriented to a courtyard area equipped with gardens and a swimming pool. The project's architectural design character was conceived close to Andalusian design. The elevations include horseshoe or 'Moorish' arches, interlacing arches, intricately carved wood and stucco as decoration, muqarnas sculpting, and decorative tile work known as zellij in Arabic or azulejo in Spanish and Portuguese. The land area is about 8500 m2 and the construction area is 2750 m2.
